41: fight! win!

been a while since i put up a new puzzle. here's themeless midi 11, hope you enjoy!

construction notes (warning: spoilers)

the grid for this puzzle came together extremely quickly. the top triple stack was a gift from the crossword gods---i just started up Crossfire, picked a grid shape i liked, and it was one of the first options it churned out. realizing that ANGELA DAVIS could run through the center was icing on the cake. then i was lucky enough to get another solid stack on the bottom to round things out. the fill is nice and smooth too---EINE isn't amazing, and I DID is a little awkward imo, but other than that? you could argue the obsolete TELNET is kind of bad, but personally i like old computery stuff like that, so i'm happy to have it in there.

in other news, i sent in my first NYT crossword submission last week! it's a themeless, so my odds of getting accepted are not amazing, but we'll see. i also have some ambitious grid ideas that i've been working on---remains to be seen if any of them will pan out, but i'm having fun trying.

i'll hopefully be posting puzzles more often for the next several weeks. i'm only working part-time for the next month or so at least, so should have plenty of time for cruciverbalizing. until next time!
